St. Francis has again teamed up with MBS Direct for your online bookstore needs. MBS Direct is a subsidiary of Barnes and Noble and has a 150-member customer service team to assist you with your textbook purchases.

Book Selling and Buying

Attention St. Francis High School, it’s time to order your textbooks!

As your school’s official bookstore, MBS Direct is proud to keep things as simple and user-friendly as possible. Follow these instructions to order your textbooks:

1. Visit your school’s virtual bookstore at:

2. Click “Order My Books”
3. Select your courses
4. Select your books

Materials will be shipped within 24 hours of order. Families can purchase materials using Student Financial Aid (SFA) funds.

Selling Used Books
St. Francis students are encouraged to sell their used textbooks to other students. MBS Direct also buys used books. (Books must be in acceptable condition - see the MBS website for guidelines.)

Used Book “EZ Drop” Days at St. Francis

Students may ship their used books to MBS by using the process described below or by taking advantage of the EZ Drop days at St. Francis held at the end of the school year (SF will ship the books for you).

Selling Books to MBS Direct

  • Log on to http://direct.mbsbooks.com/stfrancishs.htm
  • Click on box “Sell Your Books”
  • Enter the ISBN for each book you would like to sell, then click “price my book” and “sell now.”
  • When your list is complete, click “sell now,” which takes you to a screen to set up your MBS Direct account. New users should note their login name and password for future use.
  • Click on “Print Packing List.” Print the “Buyback Packing List.” (You will receive an e-mail containing your “quote,” the link to download your prepaid shipping label, and other information.
  • Shipping your books: You may either follow directions and ship the books yourself, or drop off the books at St. Francis during one of the used book “EZ Drop” days. Students will put their books and quotes in bags which will be boxed by SFHS for shipping. MBSDirect will mail checks directly to students in 2-3 weeks.

Buying Books from MBS Direct

  • Log on to http://direct.mbsbooks.com/stfrancishs.htm
  • Click on box “Buy Course Materials.”
  • Follow directions to locate materials for each course on your class schedule.
  • When you are ready to check out, follow directions to set up your MBS Direct account (or return to your account if you’ve already set one up to sell used books.)
  • Book orders will be shipped within 24 hours of receipt, excluding weekends.

Students may purchase books from other sources, including other students, if the book is still in use and available. Make sure that the books are the editions listed at MBS Direct. Click the link at the top of this webpage for a discontinued book list and suggestions for other online vendors.

Be aware that English paperbacks and English ebooks are not to be purchased used. English teachers require new books to allow for instruction in annotation. Also, no used workbooks are to be purchased for any course.

When will the bookstore be open?
The online bookstore will open May 15 to accommodate students’ need to purchase summer reading and summer school materials. Fall textbook and workbook materials will be available beginning June 15.

Do I have to purchase my books from MBS Direct?

The advantage of purchasing your books from MBS Direct is they have the school booklist and all books are guaranteed to be in stock. But you may purchase your books from other sources as well, including other classmates. Always make sure that the book you are buying is on the booklist for next year. If purchasing books from another source please make sure that the books have the same ISBN.

You may also purchase used and new books from other on-line sources. Remember to make sure the ISBNs match those on the school’s book list. Other online sources include:

www.ecampus.com, www.classbook.com, www.amazon.com, www.textbooks.com

Another option is to use the website www.isbn.nu, which offers a way to compare the prices of many books at 14 on-line bookstores.

What is the return policy at MBS Direct?
You may return books up to 45 days after original class start date or within two weeks of date received, whichever is later, for a full refund.
What if I don’t have a computer with internet access?

You can order by:

  1. Calling 800-325-3252 to place your order with an MBS customer service representative.
  2. Faxing the completed student order form to 800-499-0143 MBS Direct. Order forms are available in school’s main office.
Mailing your completed student order form with your check, money order or credit card information.
