Cross Country:
Runners should be able to run 3-4 miles for minimal fitness level as the races are 2 to 3 miles in length.
Cross Country is usually a non-cut sport, but can be a cut sport if the fitness level of the student/runner becomes a safety concern on the bike trail or an injury concern to the runner.
SFHS runners compete nearly every weekend with most of the meets within 30-60 minutes of Sacramento. There might be a meet or two in the Bay area and one in Los Angeles.
