Soccer Wins the Division I Section Title!!!
Soccer beat Davis in another nail bitter in double overtime and penalty kicks with a score of 0-0 with a 4-3 PK win. This is the 12th Section Championship and the 3rd Championship in a row for SF Soccer. Congratulations!

SF SOCCER BEATS ST. MARY'S 2-1 on PK's
What a great game!!! With St. Mary's scoring the tying goal with less then 15 seconds left in regulation time, the SF Troubadours battle back. The game went in Penalty Kicks with 2 amazing goal saves by Senior Erin Rost to help the team win 2-1 over St. Mary's.
The Troubadours take on the Davis Blue Devils on Saturday in the Sac-Joaquin Division I Section finals on Saturday, May 22nd at Folsom High School; game time 6pm.

2009 Soccer Season News Highlights

St. Francis Troubies are #1 in the State!
Coach Carrigan Named Delta River League Coach of the Year!
Our St. Francis Troubadours have been named the 2009 Girls State Team of the Year for soccer with a record of 20-0-3. Our Troubies captured their sixth section championship in the last seven years with a 3-1 victory over St. Mary's of Stockton in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I finals. Junior Hannah Keane scored two goals in the championship win over the Rams to cement St. Francis' status as the top team from California and a No. 4 ranking in the end of the season ESPN RISE FAB 50 national rankings.
Our Troubie lineup contained several Division I college players. Molly Klier is headed to Portland, Delta River League Player of the Year Hannah Davidson is headed to Indiana, and top junior Alex Brown has yet to decide where she'll go for college.
Head coach Richard Carrigan has been named Delta River League Coach of the Year, and St. Francis is the first Sac-Joaquin Section team to be No. 1 in the state overall since Davis was accorded the top spot for the 1998-99 school year.

First-Place Finishes for Both Varsity and JV Soccer

Varsity Soccer Team finished first in the Delta River League with a record of 9-0-1.
JV Soccer Team also finished first in the league with a record of 8-0-2.
Frosh Soccer Team finished 5th in the Alliance League, but won the end-of-season tournament!
SF Varsity Soccer Ranks 18th in Nation / 3rd in Region

Our SF Varsity Soccer Team won the St. Mary's California Classic and is currently ranked 18th in the nation, and third in the region, by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches of America). St. Francis is the only school from California that is nationally ranked.
