2017-18 Basketball Highlights

News

 The St. Francis basketball team lost at eventual section champion Antelope 81-51 in the Sac-Joaquin Section quarterfinals. No. 8 seed St. Francis opened with a win over No. 9 Roseville 41-37. The Troubadours finished the season with an 18-11 overall record.

 St. Francis won the Delta League Championship for the third consecutive season and 15th overall in school history. The Troubadours recorded a 12-2 league record.

 Seniors Marlee Nicolos and Logan Kelly joined junior Nika Bagatelos on the All-Delta League First Team. St. Francis was represented by five players on the second team, including Lauren Pank, Ally Gage, Jorie Keitges, Saniyiah Williams and Mia Fleming-Mullins.

 Nicolos led the team in points (14.5, third in Delta League), rebounds (9.5, third in DL), field-goal percentage (50, 2nd in DL) and 3-pt field goal field-goal percentage (42). Bagatelos had a team-best 59 three-pointers on the season at a 35 percent clip, ranking second in the Delta League. Pank tied for lead league in assists and A-TO ratio.

Two players committed to play sports in college: Kelly (Lewis & Clark) and Nicolos (Santa Clara, Soccer).

The Troubies played in the Nike Tournament of Champions, Roseville Elite and West Coast Jamboree.

Pitton retired following the season in his 16th season overall in 2017-18. He led teams to a 2016 Northern California Regional title, 10 league crowns and three section titles during his tenure. Overall, his Troubadour teams earned 334 victories.
