Seven Troubadours earned Delta League recognition.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis volleyball team had six players named to the All-Delta League team including Most Valuable Player Alexa Edwards as votes by the league coaches.

Edwards led the league with 512 kills (15th in the state) with a league-best 4.7 kills per set and 333 digs with the second-best per set average of 3.0. She was also third in hitting percentage (.280). It was the second all-league honor for Edwards.

Joining Edwards on the Delta League team were seniors Mady Schildmeyer, Aiyu Aimufua and Aubrey Kenny. Schildmeyer led the league with a 1,092 assists, the sixth-best total in the state, and 9.8 assists per set to rank among the state’s top 25. Kenny was second in the league behind Edwards in digs with 290. Aimufua recorded 149 kills during the season to rank eighth in the league. It was her second all-league honor while it was the first for Schildmeyer and Kenny.

Junior Kathryn Kramer was selected for her first all-league honor. She ranked second in the league in kills with 297 while ranking fourth in hitting percentage (.262). Sophomore Malia Berry earned her first honor after recording 143 kills in her first varsity season.

The Troubadours advanced to the CIF Northern California Regional Open Division playoffs and finished second in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I bracket. They won the Delta League with a perfect 14-0 record and finished with a 33-9 overall record.

Madie Bachelor was selected as the team’s representative for the Sportsmanship Award.
