Water Polo Selected for First CIF NorCal Playoffs

CIF NorCal Water Polo Bracket

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis water polo team garnered a CIF Northern California Regional water polo berth and will play No. 1 seed Miramonte at Campolindo High School in Moraga on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

St. Francis is 20-8 on the season and reached the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I final. The Troubadours lost to No. 1 seed Davis 14-2 with Kobe Carpenter and Reagan Garcia scoring goals in the final.

The Troubies are the No. 8 seed in the bracket. The winner will face the winner of No. 4 Sacred Heart Prep and No. 5 Davis in the regional semifinals on Nov. 18.

The other first round matchups include No. 2 Monte Vista versus No. 7 Soquel and No. 3 Leland versus No. 6 Clovis.

St. Francis played Miramonte (27-0) earlier in the season at St. Mary’s with Matadors winning 14-2.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for students.
