Dr. Jocelyn Chavez has held multiple roles in her 30 plus
years of being in education. She’s been an Associate Director of
Admissions at the University of the Pacific, Teacher In
Charge and College Career Counselor at Monterey Trail High
School in Elk Grove, MOU Program Manager/Admissions Counselor at
Sacramento State University, Adjunct Faculty/Counselor
at Cosumnes River College, Dissertation Chair and
Dissertation Team Member at Brandman and University of La Verne,
mentor and supervisor of students obtaining their Master’s in
Counseling, and possesses extensive teaching experience.
More recently, Dr. Chavez has been working at
the Galt Joint Union High School District, where she was the
District Counselor, College & Career. Her wide breadth of
experience working with K-12 schools, community colleges, UC/CSU,
and private 4-year institutions make her an ideal candidate for
the role of assistant principal.
