Ways to Give to SFHS

Fundraising is a vital part our culture. We are committed to continuing the St. Francis traditions of faith, leadership, excellence and service.

While tuition covers roughly 85 percent of the operating budget of the school, additional resources are necessary to carry a St. Francis education forward. Through gifts of time, talent, and treasure, the philanthropy of our community supports outstanding programs and facilities, and provides tuition assistance to more than 24 percent of our families.

FAFSA Delays and Extension to Intent to Register Deadlines

The U.S. Department of Education announced on January 30 that it would begin sending student FAFSA information to universities starting in mid-March – approximately two months later than initially planned. This means that colleges and universities across the country won’t receive the federal data within the timeline needed to deliver financial aid offer letters to prospective students. In response to the FAFSA processing delays, most colleges and universities are extending their Intent to Register deadline from May 1 to May 15 or June 1, so that students have time to compare financial aid offers.

UC’s have agreed to extend the deadline to May 15.

California State Universities will have a deadline no earlier than May 15.

Other colleges and universities: May 15 or June 1.

Students should check their email and college portals frequently for updates from each college they have applied to.
