President/CEO
Employment Opportunity

The president/CEO (president) of St. Francis Catholic High School (SFHS) is appointed by the Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento and reports directly to the Board of Trustees under the Carver policy governance model. The president is the school’s chief executive officer and, as such, holds full responsibility for all aspects of the school’s operation. The president’s primary responsibility is to be the spiritual leader of SFHS and to communicate and promote Catholic values throughout the school community, including staff, students, and parents. The president serves as the community’s chief witness to servant leadership in deed and word.

The president is directly responsible for the external affairs of the school, ensuring sufficient resources, sound fiscal management, and financial stability. The president oversees campus ministry, business operations, facilities management, advancement, alumnae, community relations, and enrollment management activities. The president supervises and works closely with the principal, who has primary responsibility for the daily operation of the school, the teaching-learning environment, and co-curriculars to ensure a shared vision for the school and its mission.

The president promotes the good reputation and values of the school by acting as the primary liaison between the school, the Board of Trustees, the Diocese of Sacramento, and the larger Sacramento community. Working collaboratively with the school principal, the diocesan priest chaplain, and campus ministry, the president ensures that Catholic values permeate the entire curriculum.

The approved hiring salary range for the president/CEO position is $180,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience.

Campus Minister for Retreats

The Campus Minister for Retreats at St. Francis Catholic High School collaborates with the Campus Ministry Team to foster the spiritual growth and development of the students. This position cultivates student participation in all faith-centered happenings involving the St. Francis community through retreats, liturgical events, and spiritual activities. The Campus Minister for Retreats at St. Francis Catholic High School must be an active, practicing Catholic.  This position is a regular, 11-month position.

Salary range is $63,000-$65,000 for an 11-month annual position.

Part-Time Theater Teacher and Theatrical Director

The St. Francis Catholic High School Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director will be a passionate educator who is deeply committed to Catholic, faith-based education and student success. The teacher is a subject matter expert who knows how to build a positive classroom culture focused on learning, uses student learning data to drive his or her work, and delivers engaging rigorous instruction. The teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. In collaboration with the Director of the Arts, the Technical Director, and Administration, the person in this position will oversee the productions of the co-curricular theater program. This position is a part-time teaching position for the 25/26 school year and includes additional compensation for directing St. Francis Catholic High School theatrical productions, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.

Annual Fund Officer

The Annual Fund Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing St. Francis Catholic High School’s annual fundraising efforts, primarily focusing on securing recurring donations to support the school’s operational and programmatic goals. The Annual Fund Officer provides day-to-day management and oversight for the St. Francis Fund and leads the development of strategies that result in the achievement of dollar and participation goals. The Annual Fund Officer coordinates all annual fund solicitations of parent, grandparent, alumnae, alum parents, faculty and staff. This is a full-time, year-round position with flexibility needed for occasional evening/weekend hours.

Salary range is $75,000-$78,000 per year.

Administrative Assistant to the President and Principal

The Administrative Assistant to the President and Principal at St. Francis Catholic High School provides administrative support to the President and Principal of the school. This person will facilitate the effective and efficient operations of both the President’s and Principal’s Office, including matters related to the Board of Trustees in accordance with the Board’s bylaws and governance processes. The person in this role must possess a high degree of integrity as the position is exposed to sensitive and confidential information. This person must exercise good judgment and be able to make sound decisions without supervision. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Rate of pay is $25-$28 per hour.

Special Events Associate
Employment Opportunity

The Special Events Associate is responsible for building and maintaining relationships that lead to sponsorship and attaining financial and attendance goals for all special events. This includes the direct management, marketing, and logistics of all Advancement Department revenue program special events as well as large-scale community cultivation events. The Special Events Associate works closely with the Director of Advancement and the Advancement team to accomplish development-related tasks including, but not limited to, strategic cultivation of event sponsors and individual donors, and special event promotion and execution. With limited supervision, this role plans and coordinates the school’s major fundraising events and strategic cultivation events; recruits, instructs/orients, and schedules volunteers; schedules related activities and facilities; and prepares and maintains required documentation. The person in this position must be available to work some nights and weekends as needed for events.

Salary range is $69,000-$71,000 per year.

In addition, the Assistant Coach will be responsible for character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. The person in this role is required to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community as well as uphold and support the mission of the school. This is an occasional part-time hourly position working less than 20 hours per week.

Rate of Pay is $16.50 per hour.

This is an occasional, part-time, hourly position.
