‘Potpourri: Fun with French’ Camp Troubie Course
June 16, 2015
It has been a great first two days of our Summer Programs, and we are very excited to have so many amazing faculty, staff, and alumnae teaching our summer camps and classes!
I came across one of our new Camp Troubie classes ‘Potpourri: Fun with French’, taught by SFHS French teacher Madame Chamberlin as they enjoyed a typical French student’s afterschool snack in Serra Court today.
Madame Chamberlin explained it is quite common for students in France to come home from school and have some sliced baguette with jam and butter and a glass of Orangina (a sparkling citrus beverage with a natural pulp).
It was really neat to see how polite and attentive the campers are. It is only the second day of camp and the campers were (with a little help) able to ask for bread, butter and jam and say thank you in French!
