2017 Water Polo Team Highlights

News
  • St. Francis was selected to play in the first-ever CIF Northern California Division 1 Championships, losing to top-seed and eventual champion Miramonte 16-1.
  • St. Francis was the No. 2 seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I bracket, posting wins over No. 3 St. Mary’s (4-3), No. 7 Oak Ridge (10-7) a d No. 10 McClatchy (10-3). The Troubadours lost to champion Davis 14-2 in the finals.
  • The Troubadours posted a 20-9 overall record, including a 5-1 record and home and 4-1 record on the road. St. Francis was second in the Delta League with a 2-1 record.
  • St. Francis went 3-1 at the Capital Challenge and finished in ninth place in the two-day tournament held at several high schools across the area. The Troubadours were 3-1 on the weekend with wins over Ponderosa (14-2), Valley Christian (8-6) and Mt. Whitney at the Grizzly Invite. SF opened the season by going 2-2 at the St. Francis Fall Invitational.
  • Senior Kobe Carpenter was named to the Sac-Joaquin Section first team. She ranked fourth on the team in goals with 25 and recorded 46 points on the season. Sophomores Caroline Wilkins and Kendall Houck were second-team selections. Houck led the team in the goals with 44 and totaled a team-best 82 points. Wilsons was second on the team with 37 goals and 63 points.
  • St. Francis had five players named to the All-Delta League team, including Kobe Carpenter, Kendall Houck, Caroline Wilkins, Natalie Imboden and Ari Miggins.
  • Juniors Reagan Garcia (Carmichael), Abbey Berg (Sacramento) and Emalee Lavezzo (Sacramento) were named to the USA Water Polo Academic All-America team.
