Bishop Jaime Soto Addressing the Media

The Most Rev. Jaime Soto, Roman Catholic Bishop of Sacramento, issued the following statement today after the Vatican Press Office released “Laudato Si,” the new encyclical by Pope Francis concerning climate change and the environment. He read the statement at a news availability at St. Francis Catholic High School in Sacramento.

Directly following the Bishops address, he visited one of our Academic Summer classes and spoke with the students. We are so blessed he had time to answer student questions and comments regarding what we can do as a community to help the environment and what Pope Francis is asking of us.
