St. Francis Catholic High School Proudly Announces its New Director of Campus Ministry

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – June 6, 2024 – St. Francis Catholic High School is proud to announce the promotion of Stephanie Villanueva to Director of Campus Ministry. Villanueva, who holds a Master of Arts in Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University, is a proud alumna of St. Francis and has served as a Campus Minister for Christian Service since 2013.  She will assume her new role effective Monday, July 8, 2024.

“I believe that a life lived through faith can have a profound impact on the world,” said Villanueva.  “I thrive on creatively responding to the evolving spiritual and emotional needs of our students, faculty and staff and enjoy the collaborative process that brings the changes to life.”

​”I have immense gratitude for the support and growth opportunities I have received at St. Francis. I am excited about its future and serving the community in an impactful new way.”

Villanueva started her career at St. Francis in 2003 as an administrative assistant to Campus Ministry. Since then, she completed her Bachelor of Arts, Specialization in the Christian Tradition, and her master’s degree. 

“Stephanie’s dedication to her vocation is an inspiration to our students, faculty and the greater St. Francis community,” said President Fadia Desmond, Ph.D..  “She has witnessed and actively participated in the evolution of the Campus Ministry Department and its many contributions to the school’s mission. I know she will continue to foster the spiritual growth and formation of all our students, not only through our liturgies, but all campus events and activities.”
