2013 Volleyball Highlights
News
- St. Francis advanced to both the CIF State Volleyball Nor Cal and Sac-Joaquin Section Finals before losing to eventual state champion Granite Bay in each match. They were the No. 2 seed in both brackets.
- The Troubadours posted a 34-9 overall record under Head Coach Alynn Wright, who celebrated her 25th season directing the St. Francis program.
- The Troubadours won the Delta River League title with a perfect 10-0 record, winning the league title for the 16th consecutive season.
- St. Francis won the annual Holy Court matchup with Christian Brothers with a straight set 3-0 victory, winning the match for the fifth straight season.
- The Troubadours won the High Sierra Invitational to open the season, lost in the championship of the Mitty Invitational and lost in the semifinals of the Super 8 Invitational. The also finished seventh at the Presentation Tournament.
- Setter Ali Koumelis was named to the 2013 MaxPreps California All-State Volleyball team. She recorded 969 assists on the season with a 9.5 assist per set average. For her career, Koumelis had 1,997 assists and more than 700 digs.
- Eight seniors from the 2013 team signed or committed to play volleyball in college including Anna Baytosh (Chico State), Karson Bisharat (Central Arizona), Lea Felton (Hawaii Pacific), Chloe Hakim (UC Irvine), Ali Koumelis (Portland), Alexa LoGiudice (Dominican), Noa Nightingale (UCSB) and Megan Sullivan (UCSB).
