2014 Swimming Highlights
News
- The St. Francis swimming team finished third overall at the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships at Tokay High School, finishing behind Granite Bay and Davis.
- St. Francis won the Delta River League title for the sixth consecutive season, recording an impressive 19 event wins at the El Dorado Hills swimming complex.
- The Troubadours had nine varsity event winners at the Delta River League Championships, earning each individual All-League honors. Seniors Maddie Johnson and AnnClaire MacArt and sophomore Chloe Mitchell each won two events.
- The Troubadours broke several school records over the course of the season, including MacArt in the 200 free at the section championships (1:51.59).
- MacArt won the 100 freestyle to lead St. Francis to a third-place finish at the 2014 NorCal Swimming Championships held at the Roseville Aquatic Center. St. Francis finished third with 303 points, just five behind second-place Davis Senior. The Troubadours posted 16 top-16 performances, including seven in the top eight.
- Three swimmers will compete in college next fall, including MacArt (Dartmouth), Maddie Johnson (TCU) and Alexis Martinez (Seattle).
