Rising Juniors and Seniors MUST complete 2 hours volunteering for a political campaign to fulfill a requirement for their Social Studies courses for the 2024/25 school year. This year we are allowing students to complete this requirement over the summer.  

Requirements: It is the student’s responsibility to find a volunteer opportunity that works for them. After your hours are complete, you must have a person with the campaign office write a letter on office letterhead or an email confirming that you completed the 2 hours and provide contact information if the instructor has any questions. It is recommended that you get this letter/email prior to leaving the office to ensure that you have it on the date it is due. If you are choosing a voter registration organization or letter writing option, it must be approved by the Social Studies teachers: Mrs. Van Houten, Ms. Hilts, Mrs. Koerwitz, and Ms. Sutton.

*** Also, it is important to understand that these sites are not vetted or monitored by St. Francis High School faculty/staff members. Students should work with their parents to ensure that they are choosing options in which they feel comfortable and safe. 

NOTE: Students are required to keep a hard copy of verification until the beginning of the school year and the teacher will tell you the process for collection. Please do not email any teachers verification of completion of the hours before the start of the school year.
