MARTINEZ, Calif. – For the second time this season, the St. Francis cross country team swept all three team races in a dominating performance at the Ed Sias Invitational at Hidden Valley Park. It was the second consecutive win for the program in the girl’s varsity race.

St. Francis took the Varsity Large School Limited race with 38 points over Monte Vista (89) and Homestead (93). Junior Isabella Fauria had her best performance after missing last season, crossing the line fourth in 12:29 just ahead of freshman Cate Joaquin (12:30). Junior Haley Silva was eighth overall (12:39) and freshman Tatianna Cornejo (12:43) was ninth. Sophomore Hanna Hekkanen was the final scorer in 12th overall in 13:15.

The Troubadours placed their top five all among the top 12 with just a 46 second spread and all seven among the top 25.

The Junior Varsity Limited race had a similar result with junior Grace Harrison winning the race in 13:33. Junior teammate Audrey Reyes was second in 13:59 and junior Nicole McBride cross the line third in 14:17 as the Troubies swept the top three places. All seven were among the top 10 in the race including Morgan Watson’s fifth-place finish.

St. Francis also won the Frosh/Soph Limited race with 47 points. Freshman Claire Silva was fourth overall and the second-best scorer in the meet in 13:43 with Anna Karlshoej crossing sixth overall in 13:44.

The Troubadours placed five in the top 10 in the Frosh/Soph and JV Unlimited race led by Bridgette Kemp’s fourth place finish.
