Get started on your Family Service Hours for the 2024-25 Year!

News

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform you of a few changes to our Family Service Hour Program. Please see below for more details and reminders of elements that will remain the same.

Going into the 2024-25 school year, all families will be required to complete 25 hours for the school year. 10 of those hours must be completed in active service on campus. 15 of the hours can be made through specific donations indicated on our MVP website; every $30 spent will equate to 1 hour of service.

As per the Diocese, each volunteer is required to have their own individual MVP account with their own clearances (i.e. completed LiveScan/fingerprints and Safe Haven online training). This means that family members can not “swap” or take each other’s place in the event that the scheduled family member cannot make it to their opportunity.

Volunteers can check their clearance status by logging in to their MVP account, clicking “My Profile” in the upper right corner and selecting “Qualifications” from the drop down menu. (If you are using the app, the drop down for ‘”My Profile” will be located in the upper left corner.)

Volunteer opportunities worked between March 16, 2024 and April 1, 2025 will be counted toward the 2024-25 school year.

We appreciate your spirit of volunteerism. We could not offer all that we do without the support of our parents. If you have any questions about the material above or the volunteer program, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to assist.

Please reach out to the SFHS Volunteer Committee with any questions, comments or concerns.
