MATHER, Calif. – The St. Francis lacrosse team completed the season sweep with a 15-3 win over Vista del Lago on Tuesday.

“It was a big team effort and we got a lot of people involved,” said Head Coach Julia Southard. “Our offense looked pretty fluid and we were capitalizing on our scoring opportunities.”

Jade Borg, Sarah Westover and Grace Barger each scored three times in the win.

‘We had some really good transitions and tried some new things on offense,” said Bush, who scored twice in the contest. “We had more aggressive passing and felt really good out there.”

St. Francis got contributions across the lineup as eight players scored.

“It felt really good to have some solid competition, get some new plays down on offense and go out there and get the confidence back up,” said senior Emily Bush. “We want to come out ready to have a good game on Friday (against Oak Ridge).”

Rachel Wick, Grace Passantino, Nikki Morrissette and Morgan Kelly each tallied solo goals in the contest.

“This was a game where we could take more opportunities and risks knowing we have practiced hard and know have the chance to put it in a game situation,” said Barger, who had a career-high three goals. “It was fun. I love scoring goals.”

The Trouabdours got solid performances in goal by Maggie Pinkston and Katie Macintyre.

“Our goalies played pretty solid,” said Southard. “They always give us a spark on the defensive end. We shot a lot more shots today against this team than we did 10 days ago. Our goalies are our anchor and provide a lot of support back there.”

They allowed a combined three goals on 16 shots.

St. Francis travels to Oak Ridge on Friday. JV plays at 4 p.m. followed by the varsity at 5:30 p.m.
