Ladd Breaks Pole Vault Mark Again at Easter Invite

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis won both meets at the Jesuit Invitational, out-scoring Monterey Trail among 14 teams 134.5-111 on the varsity side, while the Frosh/Soph team scored 113 points to lead an 11-team field.

Freshman Meghan Ladd broke her own freshman school record with a 10-6 clearance to win the Frosh/Soph pole vault at the Jesuit Easter Invitational.   Other scorers in the field events included senior Sharon Rocco with a personal-best 76-8 in the discus to finish fifth, while Isabella Palchak was third in the high jump with a 4-10 clearance. Senior Meaghan Rogers won the varsity long jump with a season-best leap of 17-4.

On the track, sophomore Sophie DeBenedetti won the 800 meters in a season-best 2:22.08, while classmate Noelle Lynch had a personal-best 2:23.65 to finish second.  Sophomore Kathryn Kramer was second a personal-best 1:01.34 in the 400 meters, and Rogers clocked 12.78 in the 100 meters.

Freshman Haley Silva ran 5:28.31 to place third in the 1600 meters and fourth in the 3200 meters (12:08.76). Yahsmeene Duffey and Isabelle Rudis went 2-3 in the 100m hurdles in 17.58 and 17.79, respectively. Duffy also ran a personal-best 47.93 in the 300m hurdles.
