National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
St. Francis Catholic High School is honored to be selected to represent private schools across the nation by participating in the 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Also known as The Nation’s Report Card, NAEP has provided meaningful results to improve education policy and practice since 1969. For the NAEP 2024 examination, fifty randomly selected seniors will participate in digitally based assessments administered on tablets in mathematics and reading at grade level. Each student will be assessed in only one subject. The assessment time is approximately 120 minutes (including instructions, assessment, and transition back to class).
Participating students will be notified individually via email and will be split into two testing groups of 25 students each. Testing is voluntary and for students that participate in the assessment, they will receive a certificate of 1.5 hours of creditable service.
