Track and Field Continues Top Performances at Halden Invite
DAVIS, Calif. – The St. Francis track and field team continued to post top performances at the Halden Invitational last Saturday hosted by Davis High School.
The spring group had Isabelle Grassel (12.42) and Chanel Grimes (12.70) finished second and fourth, respectively in personal-best times. Senior Amanda Roina also posted a season-best in the event (13.83).
Senior Sydney Vandegrift finished fourth in the 1600 with a season-best 5:11.94, while Haley Silva was third in the 3200. Senior Yahsmeene Duffey was second in the 300m hurdles with a season-best 47.65.
Meghan Ladd was second in the pole vault (10-6) with teammate Bryn Polly winning the Frosh/Soph event with a personal-best 9-6 clearance. Junior Isabelle Grassel jumped to second place in the long jump with a mark of 16-7.25 with senior Isabelle Ridus in third (16-6.5). Rudis was fifth in the triple jump with Grassel posting a personla-best with 10th.
The Troubadours continue big meet performances at the Sacramento Meet of Champions on Saturday.
