Upon leaving St. Francis, Kris went to the University of San Francisco and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She then embarked on a career in finance. However, she quickly learned it was not her calling. She then decided to pursue nursing. Kris took her prerequisites at Sacramento City College and earned her degree from Samuel Merritt University. After receiving her license, she became a labor and delivery nurse at, what once was, Sutter Memorial Hospital.  After five years at the bedside, she took a position as an Assistant Nurse Manager over the Perinatal Department at Kaiser South Sacramento. Kris left the hospital in 2022 and became the RN Coordinator over women’s health for a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (WellSpace Health). She is now the Clinical Program Development Manager for a large Independent Practice Association (Hill Physicians) and is finishing her Master of Science in nursing from the University of San Francisco.  With a focus in Clinical Nursing Leadership.
