31st Annual Congressional Art Show
5th Congressional Art Competition
“Our Sacramento: people, places, and things that make Sacramento special.” – Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui
“In May, Congresswoman Matsui hosted an event for the 31st Annual Congressional Art Competition. Students were asked to create a piece of artwork that represented “Our Sacramento: people, places, and things that make Sacramento special.” Nine high schools in the 5th Congressional district participated in the contest, and nearly 40 pieces of art were submitted. The winner of this year’s competition is Megan Daly, a graduating senior from St. Francis High School. Her artwork is now hanging in the halls of Congress.”
