4×400-Meter Relay Among the Nation’s Best
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis 4×400-meter relay performance at the CIF Track and Field Championships was not only one of the top in the state of California this season but ranks ninth overall in the nation according to the latest performance lists on Athletic.net.
The Troubadour foursome ran a spectacular race to close the CIF Track and Field Championships Saturday night, clocking a school-record time of 3:45.02. St. Francis finished third in the race behind national leader Long Beach Poly (3:38.05) and sixth-place Piedmont Hills 3:43.63).
The time also ranks as the second fastest in Sac-Joaquin Section history.
All four athletes return in 2015, including rising juniors Ariane Arndt, Lilly Enes and Kiani Reyna and rising senior Sydney Hunter. They won titles at the Meet of Champions, Delta River League and Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meets during the season.
