SACRAMENTO, Calif. – No. 12 seed St. Francis will play No. 5 Vintage in the opening round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs announced Thursday. The game will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 on Field 3 at the Sacramento Softball Complex.

The winner advances to the double-elimination tournament starting Friday, May 20.

St. Francis finished with a 13-9-1 overall mark and went 9-5 in the Delta League to finish third overall.

Mel Baccay is leading the team with a .453 batting average, while junior Lauren Washburn hit hitting at a .406 clip. Junior Jada Kanemasu leads the team with seven wins and a 2.93 ERA on the mound.

Rocklin is the No. 1 seed in the bracket with Roseville (No. 2), Lodi (No. 3) and Del Campo (No. 4) rounding out the top four.
