Three Players Score in Doubles Figures in Win over Woodcreek

CHICO, Calif. – Three players scored in double figures to lead the St. Francis basketball team to a 53-37 victory over Woodcreek in the Pleasant Valley Viking Tournament Friday night.

Junior Susie Rogers scored a game-high 14 points to lead the team, scoring in double figures for the third time this season. Sophomore Lauren Craig had a season-high 10 points, while senior Amanda Davenport also recorded 10 points.

St. Francis (2-2) scored in doubles figures in each quarter, building a 15-3 lead after the first quarter with a 28-10 lead at the break. The Troubadours closed the game strong to post the 16-point win.

St. Francis will play again Saturday at 3 p.m. against either Petaluma or host Pleasant Valley for third place.

The St. Francis JV team lost to Oak Ridge Friday night and will play for third place in the Roseville Holiday Hoops Tournament Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

FRESHMAN SCORE: ST. FRANCIS 47, UNION MINE 21
The St. Francis freshman team advanced to the championship of the Robby Nakamura Holiday Classic with a 47-21 win over Union Mine Friday night.
Clare Brennan scored a game-high 16 points and Ally Jeffers added 10 in the win.

St. Francis (3-0) plays at 2:30 p.m. at Kennedy High School Saturday afternoon.
