LODI, Calif. – The St. Francis water polo team was well represented on the Sac-Joaquin Section teams selected by the area coaches, earning three first-team members and three second-team choices, Overall, the Troubadours had eight student-athletes earn all-section accolades.

Seniors Jennalyn Barthels, Maggie Oys and Ally Tambornini were each named to the Sac-Joaquin Section first team, while Barthels and Oys earned consideration for All-America team consideration.

Barthels, who signed with Cal-State Northridge, had a team-best 47 goals and 70 points. She ranks third on the team with 23 assists. Oys, who signed with Santa Clara, was second on the team in goals (36) and third in points (50), while Tambornini scored 32 goals and recorded 53 points (second-best on the team) with a team-best 71 steals.

Senior Julie Zanobini, a Loyola Marymount recruit, joined Sam Reinl and goalie Elle Minor on the section second-team.

Kira Chavez and Caroline Urkov both earned honorable mention accolades.

Nine earned Delta League recognition led by first-team selections Barthels, Oys and Zanobini, who had 20 goals and 20 assists for the Troubadours on the season.

Tambornini joined Reinl, Urkov and Chavez on the league second team list. Reinl was fourth on the team with 30 goals and tallied 44 points. Urkov ranked second on the team in points (64) aided by a team-best 41 assists. Chavez scored 23 goals and had 25 assists on the season.

Minor was an honorable mention selection. She led the team in goal all season, recording 78 saves. Junior Sally Ferguson, who scored the game-tying and winning goals in the section finals, was also a honorable mention choice and will receive the Delta League Sportsmanship Award.
