Troubadours Look to Qualify for State Championships
ELK GROVE, Calif. – Senior thrower Kayla O’Brine will compete in the finals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet Thursday, as part of a contingent of seven student-athletes competing in 10 events Thursday.
O’Brine, who has reached the state championships each of the last three seasons, will be the only St. Francis athlete eligible to clinch a spot Thursday in her contested final with the rest of the events serving as prelims for Friday’s finals.
Shot putter Samantha Ruggles and distance runners Lauren LaRocco, Miranda Myers and Madison Rawson will also compete in finals on Friday.
