Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Private Practice
Since 2013 when I earned my Masters in Counseling, I have been helping individuals to recover from complex trauma which often begins with an abusive and/or neglectful childhood resulting in a chronic cycle of dysfunctional relationships. Those caught in this unconscious pattern can end up in emotionally and even physically abusive relationships unaware that they are repeating the pattern they learned in childhood. I help these individuals release their traumatic past with a combination of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic, and attachment therapies and combined with mindfulness and spirituality (depending on the client’s beliefs…). I specialize in helping my clients recover from domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, and grief.
After working 3,000 supervised hours and passing two long exams, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the state of California in August of 2017. Since then, I have independently run my own private practice in Folsom. I operate as a confidante, partner, & guide to help my clients gain insight, recover from the past, relieve their mental and emotional symptoms, set boundaries, communicate, deal w/current challenges, & develop self-care. I also strive to help clients determine & pursue what they want in their lives such as what will bring them peace, love, & joy or to follow a calling they’ve always had but thought they could not achieve. I also help couples and families to repair their relationships to lead happier lives.
