Freshman Day Retreats are next week on April 1st, 3rd and 4th. Each student will attend their assigned retreat based on their Theology teacher and block schedule. Students who participate in sports or have early dismissals are still expected to attend on their scheduled date.
Volunteers are needed for the set up and tear down for Meet a Parent or Grandparent for Lunch Events next week. There are various shifts available. We also need parking lot attendants. Please see MVP to sign up, and contact MaryAnne Kelly if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your support for our Troubies! NOTE: These hours will count towards your 2025-26 Family Service obligation.
Our last immersion was offered in 2019, and we’re thrilled to bring back this meaningful opportunity. This transformative experience would fulfill your student’s Christian Service requirement for next year while providing a powerful space to serve, reflect, and grow alongside their peers.
If you’re interested in having your student attend and complete her service hours through this opportunity, please fill out the Interest Form.
This Lent, St. Francis High School is collecting baby items to benefit Bishop Gallegos Maternity Home, which supports pregnant women and mothers in need. We invite your family to take part in this meaningful drive by donating any of the following much-needed items:
All tuition accounts must be current by April 25, 2025, for students to sit for final exams. For Seniors, Cap and Gowns will not be given out until their tuition account is current. You can view/pay your balance in your FACTS tuition account. You can also contact FACTS at 1.866.441.4637 to make a payment. The status of your tuition account could also affect your daughter receiving her report card, transcripts and/or diploma if all financial obligations to the school are not met.
We want to take a moment to address something we’ve been hearing about—a possible senior ditch day before graduation. As a friendly reminder, there is no authorized ditch day at SFHS, and we expect all students to attend their classes for the remainder of the semester.
Please keep in mind that even after senior finals privileges begin, participation in other senior events—such as prom and graduation activities—can still be impacted. Of course, no one wants that to happen! Our goal is for you to fully enjoy these final weeks of high school, which is why we’re giving you this early heads-up.
Thank you for your cooperation and for making these last weeks memorable in the best way possible! Many blessings, Mrs. Cost
This week members of the Garden of Eden Club planted a native plant garden off Serra Court to honor St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the Church’s first indigenous saint. The garden features California natives such as California lilac (ceanothus), Manzanita and of course the California Golden Poppy. The garden will also provide food and habitat for local wildlife such as the migratory Gold Finch and the Western Fence Lizard that make their home at St. Francis. The funding for the garden was provided by a generous grant from the Sacramento Native Plant Society.
Thank you to Leyla Logan Camara, Arabella Henry, Angelyn Gonzales, Isabelle Leon, Seyvene Kahwaji, and Sophia Harmon for their hard work!
We were thrilled to welcome over 60 Troubie Alumnae and St. Francis parents to campus today, providing your daughters with the opportunity to explore a variety of careers and begin expanding their professional networks. With 25 career fields represented, students participated in two insightful sessions and heard an inspiring keynote address from Brandy Daniels Bolden ‘91, Chief Customer Officer at SMUD. Each student who completed the registration survey was matched with one of their top five career choices.
