Bill Hanrahan

Bill Hanrahan has been a coach with the St. Francis volleyball program for more than 20 years, serving as the top assistant for Head Coach Alynn Wright. During his tenure he has been a major contributing factor to the success of the program while coaching every level of the program. Overall, he has coached 37 different teams at the school while helping the Troubadours win seven section titles. He also helped the Troubadours win the state title in 2005.

Hanrahan is very active in club ball, coaching for the last 16 years. He had led his teams to seven Junior Nationals appearances highlighted by a second-place finish in 2004. He has also coached multiple All-Americans including Taryn Wright, Justin Schelle and Cassie Loessberg.

He is currently working towards his Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on Gender Equity Studies at Sacramento State. He also did his undergraduate work at Sacramento State, earning a degree in sociology. He works on campus as the Director of Facilities.
