2015 Tennis Highlights
News
- The Troubadour tennis team advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals. They advanced with wins over Vacaville (9-0) and Del Oro (5-4).
- The team posted a 15-2 overall record under Kristi Spector, including an 11-1 Delta League mark to finish tied for first with Franklin. It was the first league title since 2012.
- St. Francis senior Avery Spector was named the Delta League Most Valuable Player by a vote of the coaches and earned all-league honors for the third consecutive season. Spector finished the season with a 13-4 dual match record and 17-5 overall mark. She was 10-2 in league matches. She advanced to the Delta League singles championship for the third consecutive season and was a quarterfinalist in the Sac-Joaquin Section Singles draw.
- Sophomores Kiya and Kyla Jackson lost in the finals of the Delta League and Sac-Joaquin Sections doubles tournaments. The duo from Elk Grove both earned All-Delta League honors for the second consecutive season. Kyla was undefeated at 13-0 in singles play, posting a 7-0 mark at No. 2 and 6-0 record at No. 3. Kiya was 15-4 overall.
- Sabrina Voeller and Cameron Parra were both undefeated in doubles. They paired to go 10-0 together at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and each won their singles matches during the season.
- Sophomore Marisa Fat earned All-Delta League honors after going 12-3 on the season.
