This Week in Troubie Sports…

Basketball hosts its annual PAL Tournament this weekend. The Troubies host Grant on Tuesday and travel to Pleasant Grove on Friday before hosting Holy Hoops on Saturday. Senior Janae Fairbrook Scores 41, Hits 11 Three-Pointers in Win

Senior Janae Fairbrook had a big night on Tuesday, scoring a career-high 41 points and made a St. Francis school record 11 three-pointers, including 10 straight in the first half. Read the complete release here.

Volleyball’s Edwards named Finalist for PrepVolleyball.com Freshman of the Year

St. Francis freshman Alexa Edwards was named one of 20 finalists for 2016 PrepVolleyball.com National High School Freshman of the Year. Read the complete release here.

Soccer’s Carrillo to Play at CS-Monterey Bay

St. Francis senior Darby Carrillo has committed to attend Cal-State Monterey Bay next fall and play soccer. Carrillo is a second year defender on the varsity St. Francis soccer team and has played all four years at St. Francis. Read the complete release here.

St. John the Evangelist Wins St. Francis P.A.L. Title

Congratulations to St. John the Evangelist for winning the 2017 St. Francis P.A.L. Invitational title 40-29 over St. Mel on Sunday in the championship game.  SJE advanced to the title with wins over St. John Notre Dame and St. Francis. Read the complete release here.

Water Polo Coach Moody to Speak at Girls in the Game Event

St. Francis Water Polo Coach Heather Moody will be a speaker at the Girls in the Game event hosted by the Positive Coaching Alliance at Sacramento State on March 2 from 5-8 p.m. The cost is $20. Read the complete release here.
