Black History Month Assembly
The St. Francis Black Student Union (BSU) is hosting a significant assembly to honor Black History Month. This year’s theme, “African Americans Who Persist: Through the Decades,” will celebrate the incredible stories of little-known unsung heroes who have demonstrated resilience and strength in the face of adversity. This celebratory assembly will explore the challenges these individuals faced and how they found ways to overcome them.
Our program will include an inspiring poet, Audreyell Anderson, and a dynamic hip hop dance group from McClatchy High School. Additionally, our very own acapella group, The Blue Skirts, will perform. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to contribute their own stories of perseverance on display boards in Serra Court. To make the day even more special, a delicious soul food lunch will be provided by Epicurean. We look forward to celebrating and reflecting on the legacy of perseverance together.
