Diving Teams Sweeps Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, Calif. – Senior Patty Sullivan was the top finisher for the diving team against Elk Grove with a score of 225.70. The Troubadours swept the top three places. Tiffany Wong was second (214.30) and Julia Coss was third with a score of 199.40.

Diving Sweeps Top Three Spots vs. Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – The St. Francis diving team went 1-2-3 to win its competition against Davis at Schaal Aquatic Center. Freshman Julia Coss led the team with a 224 score for her six dives. Junior Tiffany Wong (205) and senior Patty Sullivan (204) completed the event sweep.

Freshman Diver Coss Records Strong Performance at Far Westerns

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Freshman Julia Coss recently completed a strong performance at the Far Westerns hosted at Santa Clara University with her Capital Divers team coached by St. Francis Head Coach Dede Crane. She finished first on platform and was second on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. She will compete for St. Francis in the spring.

Troubadours to Compete in New Delta League

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis will play in the Delta League beginning this fall with many familiar faces and several new ones.

“The Delta League has a lot of history and it is great it is back in existence,” said Delta League Commissioner Ron Nocetti.

The Troubadours move into the newly formed Delta League along with Pleasant Grove and Sheldon from the Delta River League. The league is a realignment of members of both the Delta River and Delta Valley Leagues.

Divers Post Top-10 Finishes at Section Finals

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Allison Autrey finished seventh and Patty Sullivan was ninth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Diving Finals contested Saturday at McClatchy High School.

“The girls performed well,” said Head Coach Dede Crayne. “It was a little breezy today but it was an even playing field for everybody.”

Autrey was the top finisher for the Troubadours with an 11-dive score of 325.90 to place seventh.

2014 Diving Highlights

  • Senior Allison Autrey finished seventh and junior Patty Sullivan was ninth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Diving Finals contested at McClatchy High School.
  • Sullivan won the Delta River League individual title, scoring a 375.25 to claim the individual league diving title and earn All-DRL honors.
  • Sullivan also won the St. Mary’s Invitational on April 11 in Stockton.
  • Autrey signed to compete for UC Davis in the fall.

Diving Preps for Section Meet at Jesuit Invitational

RIO LINDA, Calif. – Completing their 11-dive list, junior Patty Sullivan and senior Allison Autrey led the St. Francis diving team at the Jesuit Invitational on Saturday.

Sullivan was the top finisher at the meet for the Troubadours, posting a 355.85 total to finish fifth overall. Teammate Allison Autrey, who will dive for UC Davis next year, was sixth with a score of 349.80.

Sullivan Finishes Second at St. Mary’s Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. – Junior Patty Sullivan finished second at the St. Mary’s Invitational hosted by St. Mary’s High School. Sullivan posted a six-dive total of 222.45.

St. Francis placed five divers among the top 10 in the field including Allison Autrey in seventh (203.55), Tiffany Wong (199.40) in eighth, Kristen Kopp (187.90) in ninth and Genevieve Cameron (178.75) in 10th.

Angelisa Proshak of El Camino won the event with a score of 248.20.

Eight St. Francis Seniors Make Commitments Bringing Total to 32

The Troubadour commitments include Allison Autrey (Diving, UC Davis), Brinnley Barthels (Water Polo, Pacific), Ryanne Brust (Lacrosse, Fort Lewis),  Alexa LoGiudice (Volleyball, Dominican), Ileana MacDonald (Golf, Chico State) and Alexis Viramontes (Softball, CSU Dominguez Hills).

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Eight St. Francis High School seniors have signed a National Letter-of Intent or made commitments to play collegiate sports next fall for the NCAA signing period that began today. Overall, thirty-two Troubadour student-athletes have now made commitments to play collegiately next year.

Diver Allison Autrey to Compete for UC Davis

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior diver Allison Autrey is not afraid of new challenges. After years as a gymnast, injuries forced her to look for a new activity and she took up diving as a sophomore. Three years later, she is one of the top divers in the area and has verbally committed to compete for UC Davis next year.

“I am really excited,” said Autrey. “I did not start diving until sophomore year and never thought I would make it to college doing anything. My coaches pushed me and pushed me, saying I had so much potential.”

Divers Sweep Top Three against Sheldon

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Patty Sullivan won her third straight diving competition with a 220.90 score against Sheldon Wednesday.

Sullivan helped the Troubadours sweep the top three spots in the event. Sophomore Tiffany Wong was second with a six-dive score of 213.50, while senior Allison Autrey was third with a 211.85 total.

St. Francis had five of the top six scores and seven of the top 10 overall. Sophomore Kristen Kopp was fifth (175.40) and junior Genevieve Cameron was sixth (165.40.

Divers Compete Against Ponderosa

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Patty Sullivan was the top finisher for the second consecutive meet, posting a six-dive score of 230.15. Senior Allison Autrey recorded a score of 228.30, while sophomore Kristen Kopp scored 188.15.

Divers Post Strong Performance at Oakmont Invitational

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – The St. Francis diving team placed three divers in the top 10 at the Oakmont Invitational Monday. Overall, there were 12 teams and 42 divers competing in the event.

Junior Patty Sullivan was the top finisher for the Troubadours finishing with a six-dive total of 224.35 to finish third overall. She edged teammate senior Allison Autrey by a tenth of a point. Autrey placed third overall with a score of 224.25.

Divers Finish First and Third against Rio Americano

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Allison Autrey posted a score of 220.95 to edge Rio Americano’s Choi, who scored 217.90, in the first diving meet of the season.

Sophomore Tiffany Wong (217.60) was third overall followed by Kristen Kopp. Genevieve Cameron and Katrina Yo rounded out the top five in the scoring.

The Troubadours will compete again March 12 at 4 p.m. at Capital Divers against Oak Ridge.
